JoEllen attended Monmouth College in Illinois for her undergraduate degree and taught primary grades for several years in Glenview, Illinois before getting her Masters degree in Special Education at Northwestern University. Upon completing her degree she served as Director of Special Education in Northbrook, Illinois until her family?s move to Fairfield County, Connecticut in 1986. JoEllen, her husband, Bob, and their two school age children made Westport their home.
JoEllen worked in Management Training and Sales before joining Prudential Connecticut Realty in 1992. She is a licensed Realtor, Accredited Buyer Representative, and a Certified Homefinding and Homesale Specialist as well as being E-Certified.

An avid gardener who loves to sail, JoEllen is also active in the Westport and lower Fairfield County community. She has been a sponsor for the two main fundraisers for the Westport Historical Society and has been an active member and officer of Westport New Neighbors, New Neighbors Graduates and the Westport Garden Club. She is also a yearly participant and fundraiser for the annual ?Walk on the Sound? for Breast Cancer Awareness and the fundraising drive for the Connecticut Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
